🎯THE “GOVERNMENT–PRIVATE SECTOR–HERDERS PARTNERSHIP 2026” EVENT WAS SUCCESSFULLY ORGANISED.

🔸The event was held in the provinces of Khovd, Zavkhan, Dornod, and Sukhbaatar to strengthen long-term cooperation between herders’ cooperatives and national and local processing industries.

🔸The training and exhibition focused on building reliable supply chains for livestock, meat, wool, and cashmere. Participants received practical information on market trends, raw material quality and yields, value chains, pasture management, ecosystem services, and payment mechanisms. As a result, herders’ cooperatives and wool, cashmere, livestock, and meat producers signed cooperation agreements, establishing formal partnerships.

🔸The event brought together 50 herders’ cooperatives and pasture management representatives from the four provinces, more than 10 national processing companies from

Ulaanbaatar, local factories, and officials from provincial Governor’s Offices and Food and Agriculture Departments.

The event was organised under the UNDP #ADAPT project in partnership with the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, and the Governor’s Offices and Food and Agriculture Departments of the four provinces.
